The Heart of Ymir is a legendary item obtained by defeating Eson the Searcher in World5. It unlocks the Snap of Ymir ability on the Infinity Gauntlet and is mandatory for the Surtur's Sword questline in the Catacombs.
How to Obtain
- Collect 8 Frost Fragments and use the center-map teleporter to reach World5.
- Defeat the Erde NPCs guarding the entrance.
- Fight Eson the Searcher using the Hadron Enforcer blast ability on his flashing eyes.
- Avoid eye lasers and navigate the accelerating conveyor belt during the fight.
- Claim the Heart of Ymir upon victory.

Snap of Ymir Ability
With the Heart of Ymir equipped, the Infinity Gauntlet gains Snap of Ymir — used to freeze lava in the True Catacombs and damage Surtur during the final boss fight. This ability is essential for the Surtur Sword route.
Catacombs Usage
Place the Heart of Ymir on the blue glowing pedestal in the True Catacombs to spawn Servant of Celestial [Level 5] waves. Five must be defeated to progress toward the Crown of Black Fire puzzle in Lunar World.
